Meet Scarlett, a radiant 5-year-old with a smile that could light up a room. Despite her infectious personality, Scarlett has faced challenges most children her age wouldn't even dream of. Born with several organs outside of her body, the first two years of her life were spent in hospitals, enduring numerous surgeries and relying on oxygen and a feeding tube.
A few years ago, Scarlett's family embarked on a heartwarming journey with Make-A-Wish. Knowing her love for swinging and sliding, Scarlett wished for a backyard playset – a space for her to explore and have fun.
Lauren, Scarlett's wish coordinator, shared a touching moment: "Seeing members of Scarlett's community come together to build her playset, complete with an accessible ramp, was truly special.
They generously donated their time and effort to make this wish a reality for a little girl who loves adventure."
The Jackson Group, proud supporters of Make-A-Wish, and participators of miracle day, recognizes the profound impact these wishes have on children facing critical illnesses. Just like Scarlett, these wishes bring a spark of joy and a sense of normalcy during a difficult time.
CIBC Miracle Day™ is a proud tradition that has helped to improve the lives of millions of children since it began in 1984. Every year, on the first Wednesday in December, our CIBC Capital Markets team and CIBC Wood Gundy Investment Advisors donate their fees and commissions to help kids in need. Since its inception, CIBC Miracle Day has raised over $272 million for children's charities globally.
Together, we can make a difference. By supporting Make-A-Wish, we contribute to granting wishes that create lasting memories and empower children like Scarlett.
